Mahoroba Train between JR Shin-Osaka Station and JR Nara Station.

JR West started to operate a route between JR Shin-Osaka Station and JR Nara Station on weekends in November and the beginning of December.

The train departs at JR Shin-Osaka Station to JR Nara Station at 10:03 and arrives in JR Nara Station at 10:53.

From Nara the train departs at 16:56 for JR Shin-Osaka Station at 17:47.

It’s a non-stop train, so it only takes 50 minutes between JR Shin-Osaka Station and JR Nara Station.

Mahoroba Train is a very convenient train if you are in Osaka Station.

Mahoroba, is an ancient terms used when Nara was the capital in 1300 years ago. It means “a wonderful place” and it evoke Nara.

To welcome people coming to Nara by train, some Nara’s community mascots await at the station during the conduct period.

We are also at the station to introduce Nara’s spots other than Nara Park and Todaiji Temple during the conduct period.
