Shugendo Training Tour in Tenkawa village

This year, starting from Mt. Omine’s official opening on May 3rd, we have had more guests than usual participate in our exclusive Shugendo training tour compared in comparison to previous years. We have noticed that in the time between when our customers sign up for the tour and its conclusion, they often become completely enchanted not only by the spiritual training but also by the pure air and the natural environment nurtured by the beautiful water of Tenkawa village. They are also captivated by the warmth of the local people who have long been the stewards of this sacred landscape and it’s always incredibly heartwarming when we hear our guests express their wish to return again in the future. Furthermore, this area isn’t yet crowded with tourists from abroad, which makes it easy to recommend as a travel experience that allows participants to truly immerse themselves in local culture. This is not just a tour that offers a full-course hospitality package designed for foreign tourists; this is also an opportunity to experience the deep connections between local people in this rugged mountain environment.
