Overview

Mt. Inamuragatake is called “Shugendo Mountain for women” as against Mt. Omine with no women admitted. This mountain is certified as an official Shugendo training dojo for women by Ryusenji Temple. Groups of Shugendo practitioners with sendachi are seen on the mountain. This tour is almost the same with No.1 Mt. Omine Shugendo Tour, except climbing Mt. Inamuragatake instead of Mt. Omine. So, this tour also gives you the chance to place yourself into a genuine Shugendo world in the Shugendo mountain. Though it’s a three day tour, what we prepare for you here is not a “sightseeing” experience. Taken place in such a holy place for Shugendo practitioners, this tour consists of genuine Shugendo experiences with a Sendachi, a Shugendo practitioner. Not only entering the Shugendo mountain for Women’s Shugendo practitioners, you will also experience an important sequence of Shugendo practices. Discover the essence of Japanese faith in nature!
