STAFF INTRODUCTION

Nathan Guide/Assistant

Hello!
I'm Nathan and I'm from the USA.

After graduating from university and moving to the Republic of Korea for a brief period, I came to Nara Prefecture to pursue my interest of learning more about the country of Japan and its history. Living in the Nara Basin, I took it upon myself to explore the area by bicycle, often following riverside roads as a way of navigating the landscape. As I continued to explore, I became increasingly impressed by the amazing amount of things to see in Nara, from the abundance of historical sights to the beautiful natural scenery.

Being someone who enjoys spending time outdoors, I was eventually drawn to the southern mountains of Nara Prefecture where I found work in local tourism in the town of Yoshino. This laid the foundation for my current position here at the Nara Visitors Bureau.

I hope to use the knowledge I have accumulated over the years to promote the amazing place that is Nara Prefecture and create interesting tour experiences for everyone.
