I was born and raised in Osaka. My curiosity with foreign counties and culture started in my childhood because my father used to bring back many souvenirs from his business trip overseas, which always made me excited and wonder about life outside Japan, so I decided to study international business in Charlotte, NC in the U.S. to satisfy my curiosity.
I encountered people with different backgrounds and experienced multicultural society during my four years in the U.S. which made me realized that my own country, Japan, is full of uniqueness and interesting cultural aspects.
Another journey pursuing my cultural curiosity took place while living in Osaka, Tokyo, and Kyoto in the entertainment industry as well as a tour guide and in Nara where I ended up by curious coincidence. Nara is a special place to feel the origin of Japanese culture because Nara is the terminus of the ancient Silk Road where the original Japanese culture and foreign cultures met and formed the base of current Japanese culture. You can easily slip back in time to 1300 years ago to visit great shrines and temples. Moreover, you can feel the spirit of Japan by embracing the magnificent beauty of nature in Nara.
