  • DAY1

    Kansai International Airport -  Asuka village

    Welcome to Japan! We will pick you up from Kansai International Airport and drive you to Asuka Village, the first permanent capital of Japan. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then explore the well-kept nature in the village with your choice of transportation - hiking, cycling, car or a MICHIMO - a unique ecofriendly electric car that seats two people by Nissan (requires an international driver’s license to drive). We recommend a visit to: Kitora Mural Experiencial Museum, Kitora Tumulus, Inabuchi Tanada (rice field terraces), Nara Prefecture Complex of Man’yo culture and Oka-dera Temple.

  • DAY2

    Kashihara - Yoshino

    Drive to Yoshino area for about an hour and enjoy your day hiking this beautiful mountain area. Start from Kimpusen-ji Temple, one of the key temples of Shugendo mountain asceticism that houses the three 1300 year-old blue skinned Zao Gongen statues. Then, continue hiking to visit other must-see places including Yoshimizu Jinja Shrine, Chikurin-in Gunpoen, which has a famous Japanese garden designed by the legendary tea master Sen-no Rikyu.
    In spring, this mountain area is one of the most famous place to enjoy cherry blossoms in Japan. In summer, the mountain is covered in green, and extremely beautiful. In fall, the autumn red and yellow leaves cover the mountain, showing another beauty. We can arrange the hiking course per your taste and style.

  • DAY3

    Kashihara - Sakurai

    Explore the oldest road known in Japan, called Yamanobe-no-michi. Throughout the day, you will stop by many places that showcase Japanese culture; Omiwa Jinja Shrine known as the origin of Japanese Sake, Sumo Shrine believed to be the place where sumo first began, Gassan Sword Workshop & Museum where you can see an excellent collection of Samurai swords. Afterwards, visit to a Sake Brewery to quench your thirst after the hike with different variety of Sake.

  • DAY4

    Nara city

    Start off your day meeting and feeding Nara’s famous local deer at Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Enjoy a spectacular experience when a French horn player summons the local deer to be fed, with a performance of Beethoven's 6th Symphony Pastoral. Then you will visit the Daibutsu, the great Buddha at Todaiji Temple, followed by Kohfukuji Temple where a picturesque Five-Story Pagoda is located. Lunch at a local restaurant, then visit the authentic Japanese knife shop, KIKUICHI Cutlery, who has given a permission to carve a chrysanthemum (a clan symbol of Japanese royal family) onto their products by the emperor 400 years ago. Nara is said to be the final destination of the Silk Road. Experience the influence of the oriental cultures.

  • DAY5

    Nara - Kyoto

    Visit to Kyoto, where old Japan is still well preserved with more than 1000 Buddhist temples and 400 Shinto Shrines. Kyoto became the capital after Nara from 794 through 1868. Explore the royal and noble Japanese culture, developed to its peak by forbidding to travel to China (Tang dynasty at the time) in 894.
    Your day starts off hiking up to Fushimi Inari Shrine, most popular for its arcades of vermilion Torii Gates. After lunch, stroll around Gion area, once famous for Geisha and teahouses, and now for shopping for souvenirs and antiques. Then, drive to another UNESCO site, Kinkakuji Temple (The Golden Temple), Nijo-jo Castle, and Kiyomizu-dera Temple, which has an amazing view overlooking Kyoto.

  • DAY6

    Kyoto - Osaka

    Travel to the lively merchant’s city of Osaka. Your first stop is Osaka Castle, which was built by General Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1583 to display his power, after unifying Japan during the civil war period. This city was once called, “kitchen of the country” back in the Edo period, and has lots of gourmet options including Takoyaki(octopus dumplings), Okonomi-yaki(savory pancake with shredded cabbage), Kushikatsu(deep-fried skewered meat and vegetables). You will visit Shin Sekai area and Minami(south) area including Shinsaibashi area, known for long and covered market streets where anything you wish to buy and any kind of food from street food to luxury cuisines are can be found.

    Osaka - Kansai International Airport

    With all the great memories and souveniors, we will drive you back to Kansai International Airport.
