  1. DAY01

Private transportation from Kansai International Airport to Kashihara City. You can enjoy Japanese Wagyu meat for lunch and then visit the Kashihara-jingu Shrine, which is surrounded by lush greenery and framed by Mt. Unebiyama. The Kashihara-jingu Shrine is built where the mythical first emperor of Japan, Emperor Jimmu, is believed to have established the Chrysanthemum Throne, marking the beginning of Japan’s monarchy.

At night, you will stay at L’Auberge de Plaisance SAKURAI. This is a small luxury inn that offers fine cuisine prepared using fresh local ingredients such as Yamato vegetables and Yamato beef. Please relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery from the inn.

  2. DAY02

Today, we will take you to the Daimon Soy Sauce Brewery in the morning. A 4th-generation master brewer has operated Daimon Soy Sauce for over 30 years, taking pride in providing delicious soy sauce that mothers can feed to their children. Here you will see first-hand how to make organic soy sauce while being guided by an expert. After that, sample fresh soy sauce in a way that can usually only be experienced by the master brewer.
Lunch will be at a local restaurant in Asuka Village, a location at the center of Japan’s history as the home of the first emperor and with deep roots tied to Buddhism. You can eat a variety of delicious local foods there and in autumn, you can enjoy the sight of the beautiful terraced rice fields shining like gold in the sunlight.
In the afternoon, we head to Totsukawa Village, a relatively lesser-known region in Japan.

Please indulge in the ultimate Japanese-style luxury experience by staying in your own mini villa, complete with a private free-flowing open-air hot spring.
  3. DAY03

Today’s tour starts from Tamaki-jinja Shrine, a well-known shrine among shrine enthusiasts.
Under the guidance of a priest, you can learn about Japanese gods (nature spirits) whilst practicing formal ways in which to worship and meditate. The experience of meditation amidst the beautiful natural scenery of the area will refresh both body and mind.
Lunch will be kamameshi, Japanese rice pilaf cooked in an iron pot at a famous kamameshi restaurant.
After lunch, you will enjoy the Musashi Oh-Odori, a local dance that has been passed down from generation to generation. It is a great opportunity to meet and enjoy the company of the friendly locals in Totsukawa Village. After a dance, you will have a chance to talk with them while enjoying sweets and tea.
  4. DAY04

We start the day off by going to the popular mountain temple district known as Koyasan. You can connect with your spiritual side again in this sacred mountain town. After visiting Kongobu-ji Temple, we offer a private tour of Okuno-in with a monk who has a license to guide in English.
If you have any questions, please ask him whatever you want to know! He has plenty of knowledge about Mt. Koya and Buddhism.
At night, you will go back to Nara Prefecture. The accommodation is a lodge that rents out the entire machiya house to one group of guests per day. Dinner is offered by the owner of the lodge in a 250-year-old machiya house that is now a restaurant. The cuisine is centered around local vegetables and can cater to vegetarian diners. Of course, if you want to eat meat, the owner will prepare a delicious meal which includes Yamato beef. Please enjoy the combination of fresh local vegetables and Japanese Sake.
  5. DAY05

Next, we have programs for visiting a Japanese sake brewery and a samurai sword forge.
In the morning, you will visit a famous sake brewery that was founded in 1893. They have been protecting their small-quantity, yet high-quality local products for over 120 years, and continue to create sake and preserve their history. You can enter the inside of the sake brewery and learn how to make sake under the guidance of staff members.
If you like to eat Japanese ramen, it is now the time to enjoy it! We will take you to a local ramen shop for lunch.
In the afternoon, visit a swordsmith and watch him create a genuine sword in his forge. The demonstration begins in the forge, after which he invites visitors to his home to see his sword collection. You can hold the swords and ask questions.
After that, we will head to Nara City, a famous ancient capital of Japan.

On your last night of the tour, you will stay in a small luxury hotel close to the Nara Deer Park. Please enjoy this last night however you please. The hotel also has a private bar only available to members guests.
