It is about an hour drive from Osaka to Nara City. After arriving in Nara, you will make your way around the popular Todai-ji Temple complex, Nara Park, and the Kasuga-taisha Shrine. Todai-ji Temple (encompassing the essence of Japanese Buddhism), and the lines of lanterns at Kasuga-taisha Shrine, are some of the “must sees” of Nara. Feel free to let us know if you would like to visit Naramachi, famous for its traditional townscape.
After sightseeing around Nara City, we will head to Uji City in southern Kyoto.
Visit Byodo-in Temple, which is featured on the back of the 10 yen coin. You can enjoy the wonder of Japanese Buddhist architecture. The Phoenix Hall on its grounds remains from when this temple was first established.

Also, Uji is famous for Uji Tea. There are many restaurants and souvenir shops along the path that leads to Byodo-in Temple. Please try some sweets made from matcha tea, choose some souvenirs, and enjoy your time there. After Byodo-in Temple, we will drive you back to your hotel in Osaka.
