We will visit Tamaki Shrine, a place where the most sacred deities in the Kumano region are enshrined, and which has been a center of faith for many people since ancient times. It is the inner shrine that protects the Kumano region, gathering the beliefs of many people.
Afterward, you will have a cooking experience of "mehari-zushi" with the local residents. You'll get to experience the food culture of the deep mountains of the Tsutsukawa area. Following that, we will all participate in the Tsutsukawa Oodori, a tradition that has been passed down for 300 years.
The Tsutsukawa Oodor is a part of the Bon Festival held in mid-August, during the Obon period. We encourage you to come back in August and join the main event of the Tsutsukawa Oodor‼
